Ethics & independence

Independence must survive the inconvenient finding.

Professional counterweight is credible only when supportive, adverse and inconclusive findings are assessed to the same standard.

Outcome neutrality

We do not prove innocence. We determine what the available record does—and does not—support.

A client may disagree with a finding. Counsel may identify legal context or factual error. Neither can purchase a different professional conclusion.

Non-negotiable boundaries

Methods that compromise the record are not investigative tools.

01

Unauthorised access, credential attacks, covert system entry or leaked-data markets

02

Payment for a desired witness account, pressure, intimidation or concealed contact

03

Tracking, recording or surveillance outside explicit local authority

04

Destruction, alteration, selective withholding or misdescription of material

05

A fee, bonus or commercial concession linked to a legal or public outcome

06

Public case commentary without documented counsel instruction and ethics approval

Independent challenge

Quality and conduct concerns must have a route outside delivery.

Complaints concerning legality, privacy, factual accuracy, researcher conduct, conflicts or methodology are separated from ordinary commercial disputes and reviewed outside the matter team.

No person is penalised for raising a good-faith concern. Where a finding or method requires correction, the decision and the effect on prior work are documented.
